Looking for a fun, hands-on craft to celebrate the fall season? Try making your very own autumn wreath using simple materials like a potato stamper, paint, and paper! Not only is this activity a great way to explore the vibrant colors of autumn, but it also helps kids develop important skills like motor planning and hand-eye coordination. You can also introduce your child to some fun facts too!
Materials
Even if you don't have all of these materials you can adapt many household items to serve the purpose.
Tray
Potato Stamper
Red and Yellow Paint
Paint Pallet
Paint Brush
Water Cup
White Water Color Paper
Pencil
Directions
First set up your tray by adding a little bit of each color of paint to your pallet and asking for a special potato leaf stamp from the desk attendant
Next, draw or have an adult help you draw a circle on your white piece of paper
Finally, start adding leaves to your wreath by painting your potato stamp with the color you’d like and stamping the pattern somewhere along the circle!
Repeat until you have a beautiful fall wreath!
